Celebrate our nation’s birthday by participating in one of the oldest road runs in the state of Indiana. Runners have been pounding the streets of Topeka on the Fourth of July for over 30 years. This year, the race will take place the morning of July 5th at 8:00am

Runners will be treated to a flat, fast 5k course thru the streets of Topeka. The mile markers will be well marked and the race will start and finish at Topeka Town Park East (509 East Lake Street). Cash prizes will be given to the top three male and female runners as well as age-group awards. T-shirts will be available to all runners!

Bring your children along for the festivities too. We have a One-Mile fun run planned for children ages 13 & under. Once again, the course follows a flat, fast route thru town. It is perfect for the experienced child looking to set a personal best, or the first-timer lacing up his or her shoes for the first time! Participation prizes will be given to all children!

After our races there will be plenty to do in the town of Topeka including a horse pull, parade and buggy races! Check out the list of activities at http://www.topekain.net/julyforth.htm

Of course, don’t forget our spectacular display of fireworks starting at 10:00pm. We’ve got one of the best displays of fireworks in Northern Indiana, easily viewed from Topeka Town Park East. We hope to see you there!
